Education

  1. PhD Skin Analysis and Clinical Support Systems using Machine Learning

    2020-2024

In this role, I developed a Computer-Aided Diagnostic (CAD) framework to assist dermatologists in diagnosing skin lesions. I employed computer vision and machine learning algorithms, such as SegNet with TensorFlow for skin lesion segmentation and statistical algorithms like Bayesian networks and K-means for classification.

  2. MRes Face Pattern Recognition and Identification

    2018 - 2020

Conducted research on automatic facial skin analysis in collaboration with a skincare company. Developed machine learning algorithms, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), and statistical methods for detecting and analysing skin roughness, wrinkles, pimples, and freckles.

  3. BSc (Hons) Computer Games Development

    2015 - 2018

Completed modules in Artificial Intelligence, Parallel and Concurrent Programming, Game Engine Design, Real-Time Rendering Techniques, and Computational Mathematics. Conducted a dissertation on “Implementing Facial Recognition in Computer Games.”

Experience

  1. Lecturer

    2018 — 2023

Developed comprehensive lecturing materials aligned with the course curriculum, ensuring engaging and well-researched content. Followed strict procedures for marking assessments and provided constructive feedback to students.

  2. Gameplay Programmer

    2017 — 2017

Developed a VR game, funded by the Road Safety Trust, to teach children road safety. Gained experience in Unreal Engine 4 by texturing, rigging models, and implementing gameplay mechanics. Led data gathering efforts to assess learning outcomes. The game, "Virtual Road World," is fully released on the Apple Store.

  3. Bar Staff

    2016 — 2018

Served a variety of beverages to guests, demonstrating exceptional customer service and contributing to a positive festival experience. Maintained strict health and safety regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
